Young Leadership

Get involved in leadership opportunities for Jewish professionals ages 22-40 by attending exciting social and networking events, mitzvah projects and meaningful travel experiences.

The Greensboro Jewish Federation works to engage young professionals and families with young children to build a more involved Jewish community through through leadership development, social and cultural programming, Jewish education, and community service. The goal is to identify and educate young adults so that they may become more active members of the Jewish community, as future leaders and philanthropists.

The Greensboro Federation Leadership Institute (G-FLI) is designed to engage the next generation of the Greensboro Jewish community. G-FLI provides leadership development through a Jewish lens; highlighted by immersive experiential education combined with active learning, in an effort to strengthen our Greensboro Jewish Community. The Greensboro Jewish Federation strives to integrate leadership opportunities into our community in order to achieve our mission.

This 18-month leadership course helps emerging leaders identify and develop their leadership styles, exposes participants to leadership opportunities within the Greensboro Jewish Federation and its constituent agencies, and explores Judaism in a unique and creative way. Each participant is paired with a mentor. Mentorship is a critical component in leadership development.

G-FLI strives to:

  • Engage and develop connections with future leaders of Jewish Greensboro.

  • Educate the next generation of leaders using a curriculum designed by the Center for Creative Leadership and renowned secular and Jewish educators.

  • Provide experiential learning opportunities through mentorship and volunteer leadership roles.

  • Enhance leadership identity through a Jewish lens.
